Abstract
著者는 서울地域 中·高等學生 中에서 12歲에서 17歲사이의 9,453명(남자 4,740명, 여자
4,713명)의 前齒外傷에 대한 조사에서 다음과 같은 結論을 얻었다.
1) 서울地域 中·高等學生의 前齒外傷의 頻度는 10.3±0.6%이었다.
2) 男予의 頻度는 12.2±0.9%이며, 女子의 頻度는 8.4±0.8%이어서 男子의 頻度가 높았다
(p<0.01).
3) 類形別로 보면 Class I이 65.3%, Class II가 20.7%, Class III가 8.2%, 齒牙喪失이 5.4%
이고, 기타는 0.4%이었다.
4) 上顎中切齒의 外傷이 제일 많았다(p<0.01).
5) 外傷을 받은 사람중 5.1%만이 治療를 받았다.
6) 外傷을 받은 사람중 27.7%가 外傷을 받은 齒牙를 흉하게 생각하였다.

The author surveyed traumatized anterior teeth of 12∼17 year old 9453(male 4740,
female 4713) school students.
The results were as follows :
1. The prevalence of traumatized anterior teeth was 10.3±0.6%.
2. The prevalence of traumatized anterior teeth of male was 12.2±0.9%, and that of
female was 8.4±0.8%.
The prevalence of male was higher than that of female.
3. The distribution of traumatized teeth by severity was as fellows: Class I - 65.3%,
Class II - 20.7%, Class III - 8.2%, Missing teeth - 5.4%, Others - 0.4%.
4. Maxillary central incisors had the highest trauma frequence.
5. Single fractures were found to occur more commonly than multiple fractures.
6. The percentage of treated person was 5.1%.
7. 72.3% of the sample was not affected by the traumatized anterior teeth, and 27.7%
of the sample thought the traumatized anterior teeth ugly.
